Photo essay about the Alpes for the german magazine STERN.

The story was based on the cultural and climate change of the Alpes.

In ten different chapters the story describes the alteration of the region by different reasons like globalization, heavy traffic, climate change, depopulation, summer and winter sport events, tourism, etc.

My work was, to show with one photograph each of the ten different chapters of this change.

The Mountain of Hell Mountain Bike race won an award at the World Press Photo 2009.
